Welcome to the Belgian American Society of New England (BAS). BAS is a nonprofit organization, whose primary mission is to help Belgians and those interested in Belgium, to get to know each other through a variety of social and cultural events.

BAS, founded in April 1990 by the Hon. Philippe Capiau, former Honorary Consul of Belgium to New England, served as a model for the creation of the other Belgian American groups throughout the Nation

BAS events hold something for all ages. The annual Belgian Waffle Breakfast in January, The National Day Picnic and the Saint Nicholas Party in December are a big hit with the children. Adults will enjoy our annual Spring Reception, Fall Dinner, beer tastings, museum visits and concerts featuring Belgian artists.

Recently BAS began to provide a platform for expanding business relationships through its membership in the Global Business Alliance of New England, Inc. (GBANE). GBANE is a group of New England-based international business associations and chambers of commerce, whose objective is to provide networking opportunities for its members. Membership in BAS entitles one to the full benefits provided by GBANE.

We hope you find our website a useful tool for exploring the exciting opportunities for Belgians living in New England.

We hope to see you soon.
